Tammy came to meet me at the door. There was a lot of hissing and growling, though she wasn't looking at me when she did either. She was simultaneously rubbing up against my legs and hissing repeatedly, which was a bit of a mixed message, so I just stood there talking to her while she did her thing. After a little while I held out my hand to see if she would be amenable to being petted. She sniffed my hand but didn't give me any indication that she wanted me to pet her, so I didn't. I tossed her a TT treat, which she sniffed but didn't eat. She walked around the room a fair bit, randomly hissing and growling. She watched a toy I was dangling but didn't seem to want to play with it. I sat down in the far chair and read to her, as she always seemed to respond well to that in the past. There was still a bit of occasional growling and hissing, particularly when we would hear noises from the hallway. She hid a couple times following that noise, but came back out to hang out with me. She comfortably lay down on the floor a couple feet ahead of me, legs off to the side while I read. I could see her stomach moving like she was purring. When I finally got up she hissed and growled again, and then she went to hide in a k-bed, seeming a bit sulky that I was leaving.
