"Apollo is a loving cat and he came right up to me when I entered his enclosure. He rubbed on my legs and had a waving tail just on his own so I didn't pet at this time. Offered my finger for sniffs after a short period and that got him overstimulated and he tried to climb on my leg but only for the briefest moment and then settled back down. I distracted him with dry treats and the catnip toys in his cage as I read from a previous note that the string toy/feather was scaring him. He was happy to follow the catnip toy when dragged along onto the different levels in the enclosure. He then ate some of the kibble I brought him, drank some water. Vocalized in loud meows a little when he saw me watching him but returned slow blinks immediately. I kept petting to a minimum - 1 pet at a time. If not scared of all types of wand toys this could be a great way to run off some energy. I left after getting some slow blinks in and having him perched at the top of his tree.
